What Is Happening in the World?
Can you see the big picture of events all conspiring to enlighten?
When I look at the events unfolding, I look for the symbology that points to what we should individually see, know, and act upon.
Remember, life is symbolic so we may learn from all around and within us in order to bring our best selves to the world.
Here is what I’m seeing.
Mass murders are occurring in every kind of location where we ‘think’ we are safe.
Restaurants
Clubs
Movie theaters
Churches
Shopping Malls
Grocery Stores
Schools
These events collectively tell us our ‘take for granted’ sense of safety is disrupted by the awareness that our society is not really serving any of us. Those who feel they don’t belong (those socially isolated) can and often do act out in ways that cost us our well-being. Based upon aggression frequency, these events are no longer just happening to someone else.
Specifically looking at one event – the shooting at the school in Uvalde, Texas – I realize that my inner child is under attack. We can no longer pretend that schools are free to teach, play, and socialize.
It is no longer possible to send your child anywhere with the guarantee that he/she will be safe.
This is true of each of our ‘inner children’ as well.
*Where have you lost your spontaneity, your joy, your fearlessness?
*How do you feel isolated socially based upon others’ judgments and rules, new social ‘norms’, or a sense of not belonging?
As adults, we are tasked with creating a society that serves us. Our society is no longer serving our population. From the loss of our healthy, safe environment to our social structures that are exclusive and restrictive, the time is definitely here to see, know, and wake up to take action in order to take back our sense of safety.
This is the time of collective growth, coming together, and serving the greater good.
Let us each ACT for that greater good now from a place of enlightened service.
