Can You Feel Your Own Energy Field? A Special Meditation
Thank you for joining me for a meditation to feel into your energy field. This meditation will have some moments of silence. that's intentional. Feel free to pause the recording if needed. Okay, let's begin.
Energy field disturbances are evidenced by a variety of symptoms. You may feel ungrounded and spacey, or too sensitive to people and energies or emotions around you. You may have physical pain or congestion in specific areas of your body, such as all lower-body issues or all right-side issues.
This meditation may be repeated as you need. With practice, you can learn to identify and hold a healthy, optimal energy field.
At this time, I'm going to ask you to center yourself. Centering is being fully present. We do this most often by focusing on our breath. In breath. And out breath. In breath and out breath. Inhale and exhale.
Next, we ground ourselves. This is being fully connected to the earth as physical beings. The planet beneath us is our connection to lifeforce. Being grounded helps stabilize our energy. Imagine sending a deep connection into the earth, kind of like a tree sends its roots deep into the earth.
Again, focusing only on your in breath, and out breath, you can allow your energy to flow deeper and deeper into the earth with each exhale.
As your energy drops deeper and deeper into the earth, you may be aware of connecting at the center of the planet to a beautiful crystal. This is the heart of Mother Earth. Connect your energy permanently in some way to this beautiful crystal.
As you continue with your inhale and exhale, imagine radiating this energy outward from you in all directions... out beyond your physical body... out into the entire room that you're in... out beyond the physical building that you may be in. How far can you allow your energy to expand and still have a clear sense of it?
Now imagine contracting your energy field, or calling your energy home. How tight can you pull it in?
Can you pull it to the very edge of your physical body?
Imagine or experience holding your arms straight out to the sides. Now, slowly turn in a clockwise circle. And imagine this circle that you've drawn with your arms, and your body, to be a golden circle or bubble of energy that surrounds your physical body, just beyond your fingertips with your arms outstretched.
This is a normal, healthy, optimal energy field.
The energy field naturally contracts and expands. But we want to hold it at about this size for optimal health.
What senses can you use to investigate this energy field as big around as your arms outstretched?
Do you sense it physically?
Does it have the density? A pressure? A temperature?
Can you sense this energy field emotionally? How do you feel when you connect in with it?
Does it make you happy? Does it feel safe?
Can you check in with your mental sense of your energy field? Is it calm? Or are thoughts flying all over the place, feeling chaotic?
What can you do with intention or with your will, to change your experience of your energy field? Can you calm it down?
Think the word "calm" and focus on your in breath and out breath, while holding it at a size just beyond your fingertips with your arms outstretched.
Can you give it a color?
Or can you change its color? Different colors give us different emotional impressions. What color would make your field feel smooth, calm, happy, and light? What color might you use for more focus?
Sound impacts us as well. And our expression is influenced by and influences our energy field. Think of a song that you really like. How does it feel with the music playing through your energy?
Is there a vibration? A frequency?
If you change the song or the music, how does it change your awareness of your field? Does your field expand or contract? Does it elicit emotions? Again, practice expanding your energy field so that it's so big it surrounds the building that you're in.
How does it feel? If the building were empty, would it have a different feel to it than if the building were full of people, noise and chaos.
Now contract your energy, calling your energy home… your energy field... drawing it in until it's just at your physical body.
How does that feel?
Would that feel different to you if you were sitting in a beautiful spot in nature as opposed to standing on a busy street corner with lots of people and traffic.
Can you draw your energy field in so close, so tight, that you can be invisible?
Our energy field is an expression of our total energy body, our thoughts, our feelings, our beliefs, our sense of safety. How we are in the world. A healthy energy field is protection against taking on energy that isn't yours or giving away too much of your own energy to others situations other people.
Again, imagine or will your energy field as big around as your arms outstretched to the side. Imagine this bubble of energy around you, being your transport vehicle through life. Fill it with a color that you love. Fill it with a song or music or a vibration that feels comforting and joyful.
Fill this bubble of energy with unconditional love.
As you hold this energy field of optimal size and health for you, I will bless you.
